Yank Barry: Nobel Nominee

March 21, 2017

Years ago, Yank Barry was traveling the world for business for his food company, Vitapro, when he noticed a level of poverty that he found unacceptable and that changed everything for him. His philanthropic efforts have largely been enormously successful and thousands have felt relief from their plight, if only for a while. His efforts have been so well-received that he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times so far.

Yank Barry’s work as a philanthropist has been stellar. The Global Village Champions Foundation, which is an international hunger initiative he founded in 1995, has thus far provided more than one billion meals to hungry people all over the world. He works closely with local agencies and NGOs all over the world to bring help to people all over the world, even in politically unstable areas where few others will even go. He also does a lot of the work himself, even when it comes to providing aid to refugees from places like war torn Syria, Iraq and Iran.
